Rationales Summer Recap

Recap:

Been a while and it was an eventfully uneventful summer for us rationales. Since last we checked in in early June. - we made it down to NYC (driving through what we didn't know at the time would be the first of 45 days in a row of torrential thunderstorms). after a lovely 6.5 hour trip we got to arlene's grocery and were welcomed by the very cool staff and our very cool contingent of NYC friends! We had a blast and while dave didn't exactly play his best show ever (sporting his shiny new 105 degree fever at the time) we still managed to make it through, have a blast and make it home in time for Wapner.

As high as we were flying at that point we got brought back down to earth when we got home and discovered that our much loved bassist John was moving to the coolest city in America come September and leaving us rationales behind to watch his San Francisco bound dust.

We played a great final show with John at Sally O'Brien's in late July.

(Come out this monday to dave's acoustic show at TTs for your last chance for a while to share a beer with John and say goodbye!)

Big news:

Life goes on and we are very excited to announce our new bassist - Gregory Gagnon and will be welcoming him on board with a run of shows coming up in early September! Greg has been making music for a while and will bring some new tricks to the rationales bag o tricks. (stand up bass anyone?) We're excited to have him on board and look forward to adding Kansas City to the list of hometown imaginary tour destinations that we plan to make it to someday!

Whats more we're gearing up to start work on our first full length album this winter.

So stay tuned - come out to see us and welcome Greg aboard and stay in touch!
love,
the rationales.
